Halloween and Fear {Link UP}

Halloween....
I want to hear what you guys have to say about this day!
Do you celebrate?
Do you just dress up?
What emotions does it elicit?
Halloween often brings me to the subject of FEAR.
What are some legitimate fears you have, or have had?
How has God helped you with these fears?
Today, link-up a post that deals with Halloween or the topic of FEAR!
Delve into your archives or write up a new post to link up with our Messy Monday!
I can't wait to hear what you all have to say!
If you're not a blogger, feel free to leave a comment here or on the FB fan page!

Regardless of how you do or do not celebrate, I hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Each Monday, we host a linkup here at The Evatt's Beautiful Mess!
Fellow bloggers may link up one of their favorite post from the previous week.
Monday's are usually a dreaded day, but our goal is to share encouragement on this seemingly gloomy day, thus making it beautiful!
If you choose to link up, please use the Messy Monday picture, or the Evatt's Beautiful Mess button to link back to our site!
Let's share from the abundance of our hearts and rejoice with one another.
If you do link up, be sure to check out some of the other linked blogs and show some love to fellow bloggers!

  1. We do not celebrate halloween in any form. Years ago we learned the true meanings of halloween. How can it even be called a holiday? Holiday means holy day and there is nothing holy about halloween. I hope to not offend anyone, these are simply MY thoughts. So many Christians say they do not celebrate the "evil" parts they just have fun. For one thing, if you study the history of halloween, EVERYTHING has an evil meaning behind it. Second, if we celebrate even part if it, we are compromising for the world. I do not want to do conform to the world.

Again, just my thoughts, sorry if I offended anyone!! :)

  2. How appropriate, just reposted a Halloween post from last year!
We don't celebrate Halloween by going to spook houses or anything like that. We don't go into the costume stores (it scares my kids to death). We don't do scary movies or anything like that.
We do, however, let the kids dress up (the theme has been superhero's the past few years) and we go to the local Baptist church for their fall festival...eat free hot dogs, ride horses, jump on bouncy thingys and have a great time!

  3. I try hard to choose faith instead of fear... I have lived my life in fear and it doesn't honor God. Happy halloween!
